Ministry sees Russia’s annual inflation at 4.0–4.1% in June
MOSCOW, Jun 8 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices will grow 0.3–0.4% in June, while annual inflation is projected at 4.0–4.1%, the Economic Development Ministry said in a monitoring report on Thursday.
“Under our estimates, in June inflation will remain approximately at the level of May – in the range of 0.3–0.4%, and the annual price growth will amount to 4.0–4.1%,” the report said.
Minister Maxim Oreshkin said on Wednesday that inflation is expected to slow down to 3.6–3.8% by the end of 2017.
According to the Federal State Statistics Service, consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.4% in May from 0.3% in April, and annual inflation was 4.1%.
